Attorney General Stumbo Announces Arrest Of One Of Kentucky’s Most Wanted Child Support Evaders

Attorney General Greg Stumbo and Jefferson County Attorney Irv Maze announced today that Ronald Dean Keen, one of Kentucky's Most Wanted child support evaders, has been apprehended in Hardin County, Kentucky.  Keen was arrested by Hardin County Deputy Ronnie Crim on Thursday, June 29, 2006 on warrants charging him with Flagrant Nonsupport, a Class D felony.  Keen owes his children more than $25,000 in back child support.

Keen is the first evader to be apprehended in the 2006 Kentucky Most Wanted Campaign, which is headed by the Child Support Enforcement Commission, and targets parents who are more than $10,000 in arrears and are unable to be located or are hiding out.

Attorney General Stumbo praised Maze’s office for its “diligence and resolve in pursuing Keen and their cooperation with the staff of the Office of the Attorney General."

“I want to thank Attorney General Stumbo and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department for helping bring Mr. Keen to justice,” said Jefferson County Attorney Irv Maze. “The law enforcement cooperation generated by the Kentucky’s Most Wanted Project has made eluding child support obligations much more difficult.”
